Children's Center for Autism offers multiple outpatient therapies
across our three locations and in-home. All of our therapists are
trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and use behavioral
techniques in therapy. The Outpatient Behavior Analyst works with
patients throughout the Center for Autism and is involved in the
entire process, from intakes to assessment, and development of
monitoring of treatment plans. Additionally, this caregiver pa
rticipates in training and supervision of staff. A caregiver in
this position works days, 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m. A caregiver who excels
in this role, will:
- Lead intake process for potential patients, conduct initial and
ongoing assessments, develop and monitor treatment plan/goals, and
generate and maintain appropriate documentation .
- Initiate and complete functional behavioral assessments as
needed, develop behavioral treatment plans, monitor progress on
plans, and make modifications/updates as needed.
- Communicate with parents, educators, insurance companies, and
other professionals regarding progress and submit required
documentation. Maintai n compliance with appropriate policie s and
regulatory standards.
- Complete all required insurance and clinical documentation in a
timely fashion.
- Participate in new and ongoing staff training, conduct BCBA and
RBT supervision, train staff/parents on goals and plans, and
conduct ongoing fidelity checks. Lead community workshops and
present at local conferences. Minimum qualifications for the ideal
caregiver include:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis,
Psychology, Education or a related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) required within two
months of employment
- Three years of experience working with individuals with autism,
utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Three years of experience working with children ages of
earliest diagnosis through seven years old and varying ability
levels, conducting behavioral assessments, creating and
implementing treatment plans and training parents and staff

- Requires full range of body motion including handling and
lifting students, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand
coordination and physically able to manage students of varying
weight and sizes.
