Qualifications

• Applicants need to have experience with children with autism, behavior, emotional disturbance, trauma, and/or mental health
• Experience working in PK-12 educational setting which includes the use of intervention planning and behavioral management techniques
• Must hold and maintain current certification or licensure as appropriate Responsibilities
  • The role of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is to implement and monitor behavioral supports to meet the needs of students with behavioral needs, including trauma and mental health needs
  • The RBT supports, trains, and supervises the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans through training and ongoing support of school staff to implement proactive behavioral, social, communication, functional, and education based programming
  • In coordination with the BCBA, the RBT will also collect data, modify the child's environment or assignments, and facilitate the child's interaction with peers
  • Teach communication, social, self-help and play skills through ABA principles
  • Document the progress and effects of prescribed treatment with clients
