We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Broadview Heights, OH office. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead projects as a project manager or lead engineer forthe delivery of large and highly complex projects with minimal support required from seniorstaff. They will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide projectdirection, engineering solutions, and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primaryresponsibilities will include project management, engineering analysis, design, andimplementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. Additional responsibilities will
include working within the project's monetary budget, leading training and mentoring efforts,and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
Principal Responsibilities
* Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering softwareand tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to coderequirements and IMEG standards
* Performs site assessments and generates detailed analysis and technical reports * Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, andcommunicate technical information effectively
* Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
* Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations,specifications, and project correspondence. Implement IMEG quality control processesto ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industrystandards and client requirements
* Train, mentor, and motivate staff
* Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with minimal support fromsenior staff
* Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation effortswithin IMEG . Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safetyrisks associated with electrical systems
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, andproject managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
* Participate in project interviews and project presentations
Required Skills/Abilities
* Adept in the technical aspects of one's discipline; advanced proficiency in technical andanalytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism,power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems
* Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference materialresources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution(FGI)
* Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS;Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
* Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
* Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
* Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
* Strong training and mentoring skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in bothoral and written communication to individuals or groups
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays
Education and Experience
* Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required
* Professional Engineer (PE) License required
* 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building designconsulting industry. . This position is not eligible for sponsorship Physical Requirements
* Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
* Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms,and grasp or pull
