Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a company find a Building
Maintenance Associate in the Cleveland area.
Purpose
This position is responsible for performing the internal and
external maintenance of the facility, grounds, at the main building
along with any upkeep and or improvements at off-site warehouse.
Continuous implementation and coordination of the facilities
"Preventative Maintenance Program" and "Contractor Safety
Acknowledgement Form".
Essential Functions
- Maintain the building, facility equipment and its components to
ensure all are kept fully functional and in "as new"
condition.
- Oversee the facilities "Preventative Maintenance Program" by
completing a weekly audit of all required tasks under the control
of the facilities department.
- Complete all preventative maintenance duties as described in
the PM program on all equipment not serviced by outside vendors or
contractors.
- Monitor outside contractors and the work they perform onsite.
This includes interior and exterior renovations/remodeling
projects, and upgrades to the grounds.
- Monitor the repair and maintenance of the HVAC system,
generators, and other facility related equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate the inspection and testing of the
sprinkler systems. This includes any documentation of the testing
as required by local fire codes and insurance companies.
- Maintain the parking lot and sidewalks in a safe condition
during snowy and icy periods by plowing, shoveling, and spreading
salt. (During the day)
- Actively repair any cosmetic flaws found throughout the
building. This includes painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing,
and electrical work.
- Perform outside landscaping duties as directed.
- Complete minor cosmetic repairs at off-site warehouse as
directed.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the machine shop area to ensure a safe work
environment.
- Monitor "Non-Production Materials" used in the upkeep and
maintenance of the facility, making sure they are properly labeled
and stored in appropriate areas.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental
and company goals.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and
procedures.
- Comply with all applicable regulations.
- Other duties as directed by the Facilities and Warehouse
Manager.
Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma required or equivalent.
Background/Training/Skills/Experience
- 3-5 years of appropriate building maintenance
experience.
- Good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are
required.
- Clean driving record.
- Tow motor certification preferred.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Products and
personal computer skills is desirable.
Physical/Environmental Demands
Well lighted, heated and/or air conditioned, indoor
office/warehouse setting with adequate ventilation. May require
periods of below freezing caring for parking lots and sidewalks
along with lifting 50lbs. bags of salt to load into the salt
spreader.
